Make Every Month Mental Health Month

As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to personally invite you to take action for your mental wellness—and for the people you care about most.

At MentalFit, we believe that mental health is a daily practice, not just something we think about when things get tough. That’s why we’re proud to host the Action for Mental Health Challenge, a month-long series of simple, powerful steps to help you build resilience, deepen your self-awareness, and strengthen your community support system.

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Calmerry to bring you weekly themes, challenges, and tools that turn awareness into action. And the beauty is, you can make any month Mental Health Month by following this weekly guide.

Week 1: Check In, Don’t Check Out

Kick off the month by checking in with yourself every day. Using MentalFit’s daily mood tracker and journaling features, you can start small but powerful habits that help you stay connected to your emotions.

Challenge: Complete a daily emotional check-in each morning.

Week 2: Make Mental Fitness a Habit

Consistency creates real change. This week is all about building a five-day streak of small, positive habits that support your mental fitness—like gratitude journaling, mindful breathing, or connecting with your Inner Circle in the MentalFit app.

Challenge: Hit a 5-day mental wellness streak!

Week 3: Talk It Out

Starting conversations around mental health is an act of bravery. Whether it’s reaching out to a therapist or opening up to a trusted friend, we’re normalizing asking for help.

Challenge: Share a conversation about mental health.

Week 4: Support is Strength

No one can (or should) do life alone. Focus on identifying your support system and strengthening those connections. MentalFit’s Inner Circle feature makes it easy to build a digital network of encouragement.

Challenge: Tag and celebrate your personal support circle.

Week 5: Turn Reflection into Action

Mental health awareness doesn’t end on May 31st. We encourage you to create a personal action plan for the months ahead—with reflections, goals, and affirmations you can track right inside MentalFit.

Challenge: Create and share your Mental Health Action Plan.

Why It Matters

Here’s something that still keeps me up at night: More than half of people struggling with mental health issues never receive any help. And the average delay between the onset of symptoms and seeking support is 11 years.

Eleven years. We can—and must—do better. And it starts with small, daily steps like the ones we’ll be taking together this month.

Mental health isn’t about being perfect; it’s about staying connected, checking in, reaching out, and showing up—for yourself and for others.

If you’re ready to turn awareness into real action, download MentalFit, follow us on social media (@MentalFit.life), and jump into the Action for Mental Health Challenge today, no matter what month it is. Make any month a month of true transformation.

You don’t have to do this alone; MentalFit has your back!
